| Heyow everyone!
Long time no post, huh? It happens...
First, I just want to say a huge Sorry to Lizz because Eli and I couldn't go to her birthday party. Her 18th birthday party at that. We still love you though, and yes, I do speak for both of us in that because I know Eli does too.
So, I guess has gone on since my last post. To summarize the activities, here you go:
- Sam broke up with my on Jan. 15. He definitely broke my heart, but I'm getting better and starting to move on. I miss his mommy, though, because she and I got to be good friends and she was kind of a role model to me. She sent me a card the other day saying what a nice girl I am and yada yada yada. It made me cry...
- I went to Washington DC for the March for Life again this year. It was a lot of fun. I went with my dad and we went with Rock for Life(www.rockforlige.org). We did a lot of activism stuff and it was a great experience.
- Last semester our drama department put on A Christmas Carol. I was one of the stage managers and doing that play was a lot of fun. This semester we are putting on South Pacific, a musical set in the South Pacific during WWII. Everyone should come see it.
- I'm really sick of concert band and I'm ready for marching season again.
- Jessie and I are going to Sanibel for SB. Pretty freaking excited.
- I'm growing my hair out for prom. I hope to have a date, but if I don't, I'll just wing it with friends. You know how it is. I was hoping to go with Sam, but that just didn't seem to work out.
- I'm talking to Patrick again, but not that kind of talking. Just, literally, talking. Like friends do. He has kind of helped me get over Sam and realize that if he is going to be so apathetic and inconsiderate, he's definitely not worth it.
- It is snowing right now. We haven't had any snow dates yet, which really sucks but because we didn't have any last year either. Maybe they'll be another ice storm....I can only hope. Although that probably wouldn't be good because the play goes up the first weekend of March, so it is right around the corner.
I think I'm done. That's a nice recap of the important things that have happened in the past few months. I had a lovely Christmas and New Year's. I didn't really have any New Year's Resolution. I try to live by life resolutions instead because no one ever keeps New Year's resolutions.
I'm gone. Later.
Happy Birthday Lizz, tomorrow! I love you!!

| It's been a very long time!!!! Sorry Lizz! I thought Lizz was going to kill me for a while there because I never updated.
Major updates:
Band is over It seems like the season just begon, but it's been over for almost a month now. Very, very sad. BUT we did phenominal this year. We got 3 grand champions and one reserved grand champions. Then at Bands of America, we placed 7th out 51 bands from 12 states. The first 5 of so are regular grand national finalists, just to put our placing into perspective for you. So yea, very happy with the way this year turned out.
Sam is the best guy ever Well, duh. That's a no brainer. He really is a good guy, though. Last night, he took me to my first UK basketball game. Now, I am a huge fan of UK basketball, like HUGE, but my dad always took my brother so the only time I had ever gone was to ONE exhibition game. But last night Sam took me to the game and we had a very good time. The team looked kind of bad but they'll get better. They've just got to get used to playing with each other and used to the pace of a full game. They need to build some endurance still. They were looking very tired by the second half. Today is his birthday so last night and Sunday night was kind of the celebration for it because he has practice tonight and we can't hang out(he plays hockey, by the way, for two teams).
Grades are crap Okay, so not crap, but they aren't excellent. I have a C that is about 2 points away from a B. That's my lowest grade. BUT I only have two A's. This is very unusual for me. Usually I'm a mostly As except two Bs kind of girl. But with three AP classes this year, it's not really working out this year. I'm looking forward to next semester where I can start brand new.
Okay, well, that's a good update for you. Hopefully it won't be so long until my next update. I love you!
Love, Katie

| Oooh, Xanga has become advanced. Okay, so, just so that everyone knows, I am dating that Sam guys now, officially or whatever. Actually, well, we were never like "Do you want to go out?" but we talked about it and he's been calling me his girlfriend, and I've been calling him my boyfriend, so...yea.
That's all. I'll do more later, but I've been really, really busy lately, sorry.
LOVE!!!!

| Well, last night I went on a date with a guy named Sam. I was set up with him on Friday night by Megan and her boyfriend. Well, he asked for my number after that night and we went out last night.
He picked me up at about 645 and we went to eat at Chili's. After that, we met up with a bunch of friends and went ice skating. He is really into hockey and on the team at Lexington Catholic so he's very good. I only fell down once while skating and he didn't laugh at me, because I told him not to earlier in the evening. It was like a full on belly flop, luckily I'm not hurting from it today.
The date went really well, I thought. I think he likes me and I really wouldn't mind getting to know him more. He seems like an awesome kid and he's a real gentleman. At about 1015, everyone else that we were with left, so we got to chat for awhile. It was good conversation and it was constant for the most part. He invited me to a family cook-out thingy this evening, but it's 435 and he hasn't called yet and it's raining. I'm starting to get a little worried and nervous that he's changed his mind or something. But, Megan said that Sam keeps telling Michael(Megan's b/f) to thank Megan for him. So that means something good. And last night he told me I should go to his games once they start up in September and that he could get me in for free because his mom does the ticket stuff.
Oh, and I forgot to mention the most important part of all of this. He's Catholic!!! Woot!! And he's a cutie, so that's good. When I saw him at the football game Friday night, I couldn't see him too well because it was dark and I thought he was just cute, but last night he looked really nice and decently hot. That's always a plus.
You know, I would like to get to know him better and maybe see where this leads, but if nothing comes out of it, then that's fine too. I met a really nice guy and that should count for something, shouldn't it?
That's all.

| Okay, so Eli was in the Winchester paper and I thought you all might want to read the article. There is a picture of him throwing a pass and a few quotes from him! Go Eli!

I am very proud of that kid. I am going to start keeping all of the stuff that mentions him or Jesse and their football crap. I'm so excited for those two, they are great guys and great players. I'm really proud to call them some of my best friends. :)
